Cookie Policy

At a glance
Quoven always sets the cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to process payments. We use no advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies. By default our web and product analytics run cookieless — they set no cookie and build no cross-site profile of you.
With your consent, we additionally enable optional product-analytics cookies and session replay so we can understand how the product is used across visits and fix problems faster. We ask for that consent through a banner the first time you visit. If you decline, everything stays cookieless and no session is recorded. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive (art. 5(3)); the optional ones are set only after you accept, and you can change your mind at any time (see Controlling cookies below).
Cookies we use
Authentication (strictly necessary)
Our authentication provider Clerk sets cookies on the quoven.io domain to keep you signed in. Without them you cannot use the authenticated parts of the service. The exact names and lifetimes may change as Clerk updates its SDK; for the current list, see Clerk’s cookies documentation.
Checkout (strictly necessary)
When you start a paid subscription you are redirected to our Merchant of Record, Polar, to complete the payment. Polar sets cookies on the polar.sh domain to maintain your checkout session, prevent cross-site request forgery, and process the payment. These cookies are not set on the quoven.iodomain; Polar’s practices are described in Polar’s privacy policy.
Web analytics (cookieless)
We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand which pages are visited and to measure performance. Both run cookieless: they set no cookie and build no cross-site profile of you.
Product analytics and session replay (optional, consent-based)
We use PostHog for product analytics and error tracking and — only with your consent — for session replay and heatmaps. By default PostHog runs cookieless. If you accept our consent banner, PostHog stores a first-party cookie and local storage on the quoven.io domain so we can recognise you across visits, and records a replay of your interactions (clicks, navigation, scrolling) so we can diagnose issues and improve usability.
Session replays are masked to protect your content: every form field, and any confidential material — including the briefs you submit and the dossiers we generate — are blocked from the recording. If you decline, none of this is set and no session is recorded. PostHog Cloud is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt).
Controlling cookies
You can withdraw or change your consent to the optional analytics cookies and session replay at any time, and it is as easy to withdraw as to give: . This clears your choice and lets you decide again; declining returns the product to cookieless mode and stops any recording.
You can also clear or block cookies from your browser settings, but blocking the strictly necessary cookies above will prevent you from signing in or completing a payment. We update this page whenever we add, remove, or change a cookie; the Last updated date at the top always reflects the current version. For any question, write to privacy@quoven.io — see also our Privacy Policy.
